Vernon Ball has been found! June 22, 2013
I wanted to put this post out right away! Vernon Ball has been found and is fairly good shape for being lost and followed by a bear for two days. He came out on the road towards Stewart Crossing. He is being treated at the Mayo Nursing Station.
What an answer to our prayers!
We will still hold our dedication ceremony at the Mayo Arts Festival but it will be truly joyful!
Mayo Arts Festival is going to take place as scheduled. June 21, 2013
The community of Mayo has been undergoing a search and rescue operation for one of our dear community members, Vernon Ball. After much discussion about if we should post-pone the Arts Festival, the decision was made tonight to hold the Mayo Arts Festival.
Vernon’s family would like to see the Arts Festival go ahead as planned.
We are therefore going to dedicate 2013 Mayo Arts Festival to the “Search For Vernon” and the Festival will begin with a prayer and a ceremony of uplifting gospel songs and drumming in honour of the ongoing search. People will be encouraged to take part of their day to help with search based out of Na Cho Nyak Dun Government House.
