The Mayo Arts Festival began in 2002 and has grown into a much anticipated yearly festival! The Mayo Arts Festival showcases Artists & Musicians that are from or have ties to the Silver Trail Area. This includes Stewart Crossing, Keno City, Elsa, and Mayo, Yukon. We are a homegrown festival and provide an outlet for our amateur talented Artists & Musicians.
Since it’s inception in 2002 the Arts have truly flourished in our area. In the beginning it was difficult to get more than two or three musicians to perform and now we are having to keep expanding the music portion of the festival because it is difficult to squeeze everyone in! It’s been soooo exciting and rewarding to see our area grow in the Arts!!!
There is free admission to Mayo Arts Festival and we invite YOU to come on out and enjoy Arts & Music at the JV Clark School Soccer Field, Mayo, Yukon.
Funding for the Mayo Arts Festival is made possible through the assistance of the Village of Mayo, the Yukon News and the Arts Operating Funds, Department of Tourism and Culture, Jeanie Dendys, Minister. The Northern Tutchone Fashion Show is sponsored by Na Cho Nyak Dun First Nation.
