Mayo is really a happening place this Solstice Weekend! Join us for a total of four events!!!
On Friday, June 21st is the Aboriginal Film Festival, this event will be in the big tent set up at Galena Park starting at 7 pm on the solstice. We are proud to present for our feature film “More than Frybread” “Twenty-two Native American frybread makers, convene to compete for the first ever, first annual, state of Arizona Frybread Championship! The film takes a larger than life turn as four contestants battle their way to compete for the title in the championship round. This is the frybread competition unlike any you have ever seen and the movie you can almost taste!” Also showing other great films made by or about First Nations people. Bring your chair or pillow, refreshments will be provided and admission is free! Of course our Mayo Arts Festival! Saturday, June 22nd is the Mayo Arts Festival at Galena Park. Arts & Crafts – 12:00-5:00 pm | Music – 12:00-7:00 pm. And last but not least on Saturday from 8 pm – midnight is the 18th Annual Mayo Midnight Marathon. Events include: Marathon, Half Walk, Half Run, 5 k Run/Walk, 10K Walk & 10 k Run.
